About me

I’ve taken a non-traditional path to tech, and I consider it one of my greatest strengths. My career began in journalism, earning a diploma from Langara College in 2018 and working as a reporter for The Tico Times in Costa Rica. Covering stories across technology, politics, and the environment taught me how to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.

After moving to Montreal, I transitioned into web development, working with clients like CHU Sainte-Justine’s mental health research team. These early projects deepened my interest in user-centered design and laid the foundation for a more technical, systems-oriented career. Over time, I became fascinated by the intersection of data, storytelling, and impact.

That curiosity led me to study data science, completing BrainStation’s intensive bootcamp and joining FlightHub as a Data Analyst. Since then, my role has grown beyond traditional analytics: I now design and deploy internal tools, automate workflows, manage databases, and build applications that help teams move faster and make smarter decisions.

Today, I blend analytical thinking with technical execution. Whether I’m uncovering insights, developing dashboards, or building AI-powered apps, I focus on making data more transparent, actionable, and human.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball, reading, playing guitar and traveling!
